September 2019
Sunday September 1
In the morning I walked over to my tattoo appointment 5 minutes down the road. After discussing the details painfully thru the language barrier, I went back to the house for breakfast. Once that was done, I sat for 2 hours of amazing work being permanently added to my right shoulder. All for €120.
I had to say goodbye to everyone sadly. I had such a wonderful time with the family but I had to get back to Bucharest. Around 1 was when I was able to get riding. The Romanian border was the first I had an issue and it was just with a couple car drivers who were mad because motorcycles always go to the front. But I got thru without any issues from the border guards.
The ride was long and boring, I was taking the fast route for the day. 15 days of constantly moving and sleeping on uncomfortable surfaces had me wanting a couple easy days on a bed. About 7 I got to town, picked up the keys, and unloaded my bike. Then I walked to get dinner and relaxed on the couch for the rest of the evening.

Monday September 2 - Thursday September 5
Monday I had to run errands and return the BMW because it was rented out later in the week. It took all morning to get everything I needed for my next ride and some groceries for the week. Then I returned the bike and got back to the house.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday were pretty much me sleeping, writing, cleaning up, organizing my gear, and being a couch potato. The only time I went out was Thursday night when I met a local for a beer and to chat about our countries. Nothing to report here, carry on.

Friday September 6 - Sunday September 8
Friday night I went out with some friends to meet up with other bikers. Before meeting, I stopped at my new favorite store, Decathlon, to buy more awesome cheap clothes and camping gear. Then it was off to the bar where I enjoyed a night meeting a well known moto vlogger, Mihai, and some women from WIMA. some beer, a burger, and then we ran off to another bar for more beer and alcohol. I had an absolutely wonderful night with everyone, joking around, drinking.
Saturday evening was the Romania Motorcycle Travel Sessions which was fantastic. The first was a museum curator presenting on the first 4 Romanians to do 100,000km around the world by motorcycle in the early 1900s. The second was Anne, the first woman to travel the world by motorcycle solo in the 1970s. The second was One Man Caravan, one of the first men to video record his ride around the world in the 1940s. I enjoyed all of them and hanging out with Mihai again, then going to a bar to drink and be stupid some more.
Sunday was a day to prep and recover for the upcoming monkey run work I was scheduled to do on Monday.
