Arizona
The Grand Canyon State

2018

Leaving Dallas to head west to LA where I had a flight to the Philippines, I spent a couple days in Arizona again. My first stop was seeing an old friend while he was out on a ride, then visiting another friend in the Tonto National Forest. A couple days in Phoenix and a campsite on the border of California on the I-10 corridor, I was off to backpack for a month.

2017

Late September to early October, I hung around in the Prescott area with friends. I set up a camp out for my friends from Minimalist Motorcycle Vagabonds and had a pretty good turn out. Among all the cool things we did over the weekend, I picked up my first wild tarantula and let it crawl on my arms. When I left Prescott, I rode north to the Grand Canyon. They always said pictures don't do it justice and they honestly really don't. Even with the splendor of the canyon itself, I watched a sunset on the evening of the Harvest Moon too. My pitiful phone camera couldn't handle it but it's a memory forever etched in my mind.
